The present difficulty is that the man thinks that he is the doer. But it is a mistake. It is the Higher Power which does everything and the man is only a tool. If he accepts that position he is free from troubles; otherwise he courts them. Take for instance, the figure in a gopuram , where it is made to appear to bear the burden of the tower on its shoulders. Its posture and look are a picture of great strain while bearing the very heavy burden of the tower. But think. The tower is built on the earth and it rests on its foundations. The figure  is a part of the tower, but is made to look as if it bore the tower. Is it not funny? So is the man who takes on himself the sense of doing.

Prenez, par exemple, une figure sculptée sur un gopuram qui donne l’impression de porter le poids de la tour sur ses épaules. Son attitude, son regard donnent l’impression d’un effort considérable. Mais réfléchissez. La tour est bâtie sur la terre et elle repose sur ses propres fondations. Le personnage  fait partie de la tour, mais il est fait de telle sorte qu’il semble la soutenir. N’est-ce pas drôle ? Il en va de même pour l’homme qui garde le sentiment d’être l’auteur de ses actes.

La dificultad presente es que el hombre piensa que él es el hacedor. Pero eso es un error. Es el Poder Más Alto el que hace todo, y el hombre es sólo un instrumento. Si acepta esa posición, está libre de todos los problemas; de lo contrario, los corteja. Tome por ejemplo la figura que existe en un gopuram , en el que se la hace aparecer sosteniendo el peso de la torre sobre sus espaldas. Su postura y su apariencia dan la imagen de gran esfuerzo mientras soporta la pesadísima carga de la torre. Pero piense. La torre está construida sobre la tierra y se apoya sobre sus cimientos. La figura  es una parte de la torre, pero se ha hecho para que parezca como si soportara la torre. ¿No es gracioso? Así es el hombre que toma sobre sí mismo el sentido de ser el hacedor.
